- Βιογραφικό Premium Alexia C. Couccoullis Alexia Couccoullis practices Law in Greece and Cyprus, being a member of the Athens Bar Association and Nicosia Bar Association. She is qualified to practice before the Supreme Courts and the Council of State. Alexia graduated the Faculty of Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and subsequently she attended the University of London (Institute of Advanced Legal Studies) where she was awarded MPhil, in the subject: “The European Company with a comparison focus to the legal systems of Greece, Cyprus and UK”. She continued in the same University as a researcher pending to be awarded her PhD on the subject: “The Gaming Industry and compliance with the International and European regulations”. In 2017 Alexia was educated in Harvard Law School. She holds an MBA and she continues her research in the field of Arbitration at the University of Thrace. Alexia attended her school years and graduated the Athens College in 2001. Alexia has extensive experience in corporate and investment law. She has participated in major M&A projects as well as cross boarder investments. She is an expert in complicated corporate restructuring projects as well as gaming law. Alexia has extensive and recognised experience in international commercial and investment arbitration and mediation being the Secretary General and founding partner of the Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She is the Managing Partner of “Couccoullis & Associates” a well-established Law Firm in Greece and Cyprus with international recognition (member of WLN and IMGL) and more than 45 years of excellence in practice, offering its esteemed clientele (including but not limited to banking institutions, insurance companies, large corporations and major shipping companies) comprehensive and efficient services. Moreover, she is a national expert for Greece and Cyprus of the European research center Max Planck Institute for European criminal law on issues related with fraud, corruption and the European Arrest Warrant in European researches, following awarding by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), and she is also a specialized partner of the Instituto Europeo de Derecho, which assigns her to produce reports (national reports) for Greece and Cyprus in EU matters following the Council of Europe assignment. Her articles in the areas of her expertise are hosted by leading Greek newspapers ("Kathimerini", "Naftemporiki") and in special publications abroad. Last but not least, she participates as a keynote speaker in conferences in Greece and abroad. Alexia has strong social responsibility, driven from her advanced education in mediation having conceived and deploying in cooperation with the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry a project on school mediation against bullying under the auspices of His Excellence the President of the Hellenic Republic. She speaks Greek, English, German and French.
